Group chat without a phone number
For a trip, a party or a short project nobody needs a permanent messenger group. MatrixCal is a group chat for a limited time – nobody has to share their phone number.
A closed circle
Anyone who knows the code word can ask to join, but only the creator lets devices in. Strangers cannot find or message you.
Why not WhatsApp or Telegram?
WhatsApp shows everyone's phone number in a group. Telegram group chats are not end-to-end encrypted. MatrixCal needs no number and encrypts messages, photos, voice messages and meeting points.
Only date, time and nicknames stay readable so reminders arrive on time.
